We are calling for expressions of interest from our U17 riders to attend the 2012 Wagga Wagga junior tour in Australia. Please note that the two riders who were shortlisted last year will have first right of refusal on the up to 3 positions available. Also please be aware that the dates are the 28th and 29th of April, which is very close to our NZ road nationals being held on the 3rd of May.
Please email dale@cyclingsouth.org.nz to express your interest. You do not have to be the fastest rider in your age group rather someone of good character who will represent our club to the best of your ability and also benefit from the experience of an overseas tour. In the past the team manager has been a parent of one of the riders and is expected to take responsibility for organising the trip and being in charge of the riders for the duration of the event. If this interests you please indicate to Dale.
The Junior Division subsidises each rider and the manager to the tune of $500.00 each. All internal flights within Australia are paid for by the Wagga Wagga club and riders are billeted in Wagga Wagga for the event.
