2020 MAJOR EVENTS CALENDAR

Covid-19 response

Level 2:

With the move to Level 2, Cycling Southland has restarted many of our squads, with some subtle changes, and will also be restarting road racing on 6 June.

Guidelines for exercise under Level 2:

Although there is far greater freedom when it comes to exercise under Level 2, please keep the following in mind.
*You may include people from outisde your bubble when training, but contact tracing remains key, so a designated ride leader needs to keep a record of who is present, including their contact details.
*Keep your distance from other groups and riders outside your group to ensure the integrity of contact tracing
*Do not join a group mid-ride as this makes contact tracing impossible
*Please maintain good hygiene - go to the back of the group before clearing your nose. Better yet, take a hankerchief, blow your nose, and dispose of appropriately at home.

ILT Stadium Southland and SIT Zero Fees Velodrome:

Stadium Southland has reopened (with limited hours initially) under Level 2 - we are running a limited track programme with entry via Webscorer. There is a limit of 20 riders per session, and only riders registered for a session through Webscorer are allowed.

Stadium access:

Access to the Stadium will be through the main entrance ONLY. They have a contact tracing/access management system in place that requires the scanning of a QR code as you enter the building - please ensure that you have a QR reader installed on your phone and know how to use it. The first time you scan the code you will have to enter your name and contact details, but this should be retained and not be required on furture use. Once you have done so you can check in at the stadium. When you leave you have to scan the QR code as you exit and it will prompt you to sign out.
The system ensures that the stadium can comply with restrictions on numbers for public venues and also provides contact tracing in case of a renewed Covid-19 outbreak in the area.
