Rotary Club of Cromwell Inc presents a 90km ride around Lake Dunstan for Mental Health Awareness on Sunday 8 October.
Ride the Lake take splace around Mental Health Awareness Week from 9 to 15 October. Now in its 10th year, the aim of the ride is to have fun and encourage exercise for mental health and wellbeing. The course is approximately 90km of sealed, generally flat road that ollows the shores of Lake Dunstan along State Highway 6, 8, 8A and 8B. The ride starts in Cromwell at McNulty Inlet at 10am and heads north passing through NOrthburn, Tarras, Luggate and then south back down the Wanaka Road to McNulty Inlet and the start/finish line.
The road cycling event is a non-competitive ride, it is not a race. The grand prize draw and spot prizes will be prsented at the prizegiving ceremony from 3pm.The event is open to individual and team entries up to four riders.
Enter online at www.ridethelake.co.nz or on the day. Entries are $30 per individual or $25 per team member for early birds entered on or before 29 September. Late entries are $40 per individual or $35 per team member.
