James Williamson will be holding a junior racing and training skills day for juniors on Sunday 25 May, from 11am, in Alexandra.

This day offers a chance for junior riders to come along and ride with and learn from a professional rider and coach with mroe than 10 years experience racing and training.

The idea will be to pass on knowledge and experience in order to show the young riders how to get the most out of their cycling and improve their performance.

In this respect the day will be more focused on skills and tactics rather than hard training.

The session will be approximately three hours long at a cost of $20 with about two hours of actual riding on the nice quiet rolling roads around Alexandra.  Covering some of the specific aspects of cycling that are critical for high performance including bunch riding skills, tactics, nutrition, positioning, goal setting and mental approach.
