A group of hardy southerners Classic Hits' James McRobie, Southland Times Sports Journo Nathan Burdon, Cycling Southland's Nick Jeffrey, Harcourts' Allan Dunn and Malcolm Thomas, WHKs' Erin Criglington, Balcluthians Barry Robertson, Ken Telford, Helen Gilder, Marthinus Hendriks, Alan Carr, plus Westpackers Andrew Moreton, Phil Taylor, Chris Hargest, Mark Horgan, and the token someone's husband Garry McLister.

We will do all the hard work; train for and conquer the Devil Staircase, the mighty Josephville Hill, rental cars, and whatever else Mother Nature throws at us (most likely a howling southerly) to complete this challenging 180km Queenstown to Invercargill one day event. But we really need your help to make a difference to our charity the local Lakes District Air Rescue Trust our local Westpac Chopper Appeal beneficiary.
