Greetings Cycling enthusiasts!
Well more of our young southern stars have been making a mark on the road cycling ladder following the return of late selection Sam Miller and CO-Wakatipu’s Nicole Shields who spent last weekend racing for Cycling NZ in some gruelling conditions at the Tour of Canberra in Australia. Huge well done to Nicole and Sam who both rode incredibly strongly through the Tour with Nicole finishing a fantastic 1st in the GC overall and Sam in 7th. Mighty fine effort from both Under 17s!

Special General Meeting
A reminder that a Special General Club Meeting will be held in the Ulmer Lounge on Tuesday 26 May, at 7.30pm

At the Executive Meeting Monday 21 April 2015, it was formally moved to adopt the constitutional changes proposed by the sub-committee working on the Constitutional review. The main change is to have two year terms for executive members rather than the current one year terms to give greater continuity of the executive.

The proposed Constitutional changes are as presented in the attachment links below and relate to the number of members on the Executive and the election cycle for individual roles; tenure of appointment of President and Vice President, the process of appointment re the Vice President.

Accordingly a Special General Meeting will be held on the Tuesday 26 May at 7.30pm to discuss the proposed changes to the Executive and the Constitution.

Westpac Chopper Appeal
Huge congrats to all the hardy souls who smashed 240km last Friday for the annual Westpac Chopper appeal ride from Frankton to Invercargill. 60 riders aged from 16 to 74 (good work Bazza!) road to raise money for an incredibly worthy cause and then their efforts were topped off with a $100,000 anonymous donation half way through the ride. Incredible stuff and – if you haven’t already – it’s not too late to make a contribution. Donations close on the 30th of May so click here to give a little

Tour of Taranaki
View the details of the Powerco 30th Anniversary Tour of Taranaki being held over Queen’s Birthday weekend.

Well that’s it from me as the Corporate Pursuit teams keep on trickling in in readiness for the 10th Anniversary team briefing tomorrow night (Wednesday 13) at 7pm in the Ulmer Lounge. Then the five weeks of intensive training will start in earnest from next week – not that that’s has hindered the early bird teams who have already been in training for some weeks now!

Remember if you’re keen to lend a hand at the events on Friday 19 and Sunday 28 June, let me know.
All helpers hugely appreciated!

Take care out there and have a happy week
