Howdy doody for another week everyone and she is all on for young and old with the Age Group Track Nationals next week, the 10th Anniversary Corporate Pursuit details about to be unleashed and NCEA and Learn to Ride cranking up in the schools as well.

Good times!

Righto, it’s another newsy edition this week so we’ll just get on with it.

Tuesday Track Racing
It's on again this week, all riders second year U17 and over welcome.
Race 1
6 lap Scratch each grade
Race 2 
Team Sprint (arranged on the night)
Race 3 
10 lap Scratch - elite/u19
10 lap Scratch - women
10 lap Scratch - Masters Men

30 lap (all in) Motopace tempo (race the last 5 laps)

Clarification on Adelaide Event
Referred to as a Tier 1 Oceas event – this is not true - in last week’s comms, expressions of interest are now being sought for the ITS and Anzac Cup being held from May 28-31 from any Elite and Under 19 riders who are interested to go. Please email [email protected].

Saturday Road Race and South Port Criterium Postponed – Wednesday Worlds Circuit instead
This weekend was scheduled to be another double banger with the George Wilson and Sons Gore to Waikiwi Classic on Saturday and the final race in the South Port Crit Series at Balmoral Drive on Sunday. Due to a big weekend of out of town events, both these races have been postponed and you will be notified of their revised race dates in due course. In the meantime, we will hold a race on the Wednesday Worlds Circuit at the usual time of 1.30pm Enter online here

College Series
A reminder that the College Road Racing Series is underway starting from Tisbury School and costs only $5 Year 9-13 (28km) meet at 5.30pm for a 5:50pm start. Year 7-9 (14km) meet at 6pm for a 6:30pm start. The series dates are as follows:
A McDonalds burger voucher is on offer for first 5 members to sign in who bring along a new rider.

Race 2 - 4 March
Race 3 - 11 March
Race 4 - 18 March
Race 5 - 25 March

Junior Road Racing
Due to the low interest and many riders away at the Track Nationals there will be no Junior Division Saturday road racing on Saturday 7 and 14 of March. The next race will be 21 March with the Southland Champs the following weekend.

Cycling New Zealand Coaching Qualification Opportunity
Cycling New Zealand Level 1 Sport Coaching Accredited Course – Two courses combined (for price of one)

Arrangements are being made with Cycling New Zealand to hold two Level 1 Accredited Sport Coaching courses at the SIT Zero Fees Velodrome in Invercargill.
It is intended to hold the courses on either the weekend of 2nd/3rd May or 9th/10th May 2015. Download all the details here 

10th Anniversary Corporate Pursuit
This year’s 10th Anniversary Corporate Pursuit is scheduled for 
7  May: Entries close 5:00pm
13 May: Event briefing – 7:00pm
19th June: Time Trial – 6-10pm
28th June: Race Day

We would really appreciate members to assist with coaching or officiating on these days.  Please contact the office and leave your details.  If you know of a business that you will be coaching could you also inform the office.  This year we will also be offering a basic coaches evening to assist our volunteers.

Vital Signs Tour de Lakes
We are on the prowl and seeking any absolutely lovely, wonderful families (yes this is an all-out grovel!) on this year’s anniversary Easter tour who can perhaps offer a bed to our ever-awesome timing systems queen Danielle Ralph, who is again offering her skills and personal time to do the Tour for Allan and the team this year.

Track Closed
Another reminder that the track will be closed to all sessions on Tuesday 17 and Wednesday 18March due to a National Dairy Women’s Conference being held through the entire facility.
