This is the Arthur and Margaret Waide Classic, a challenging 87km circuit around Fairfield, Waihola, Tairei Mouth and Green Island. Timing of Road and Track Events
After a highly successful test of a new race timing programme over the weekend, we are keen to hear from members and supporters who might be interested in assisting with timing and generating results for our club and event road and track racing. We’ve been working hard over the last couple of months to come up with a solution to make using the road racing transponders a lot easier than was previously the case and we are stoked with how it worked at Southland Champs. Now, the key is to find some helpers who are keen to get involved. If this is an area you would be keen to find out more about, without getting pinned down to the job straight away, then let us know at [email protected] and we’ll arrange an overview to give you an idea of what is involved.

Billet Required Please
BikeNZ is still after someone to billet a member of the Junior Worlds team who is coming from out of town for a training camp from 21-26 of April. This is directly after Road Nationals in Queenstown. If you’re able to offer a bed to one of the boys can you please let me know at [email protected]

Westpac Chopper Appeal
Last year Nick jumped on the bike and helped out for charity, this year Cathy’s jumping on board with a whopping crew of good people to raise funds for the Westpac  Chopper Appeal, Queenstown to Invercargill charity ride being held on Friday 10 May. They’re guaranteed to have fun along the way for sure! Read_all_about_it

Part-time Work Wanted
Our Paralympian champine Philly Gray’s partner Sean Finning has just moved to the south from Australia and is keen to pick up some part-time work. Sean has prior experience in the motor industry but is obviously willing and able to try his hand at what could be on offer. If anyone has any queries or offers, please contact our esteemed leader Nick [email protected] your enquiry will be in the strictest of confidence. Thank you.

Well that’s it for another week – so good luck to everyone in their final lead-up to the road nationals and enjoy the longer nights as we move through the weeks of Autumn.
