Junior Division Track Maintenance
As the late President Kennedy once said "ask not what your country can do for you, but what can you do for your country?"
In this vein we would like to see as many of the U15/17/19 squad members at the Velodrome this Friday at 1pm with old clothes and ready to clean and paint. Many hands make light work … thanks Dave Beadle and the team.

Our Juniors put in some great racing over the weekend at Te Awamutu – well done to Hayden and Corbin Strong who both finished with King of the Mountain titles, along with Tom Sexton, Samuel Miller and Hamish Keast who all put in some really gutsy racing over the three stages. Read the Tour Wrap from Alan here and View the full results here.
Next up are the Club Road Nationals in Hawke’s Bay, which start this Thursday and run until Sunday. Good luck to all our crew – manager Alan Strong and his team of riders Brendan Akeroyd, Alistair Burnett, Hamish Keast, Stephen Keast, Sam Kopae, Samuel Miller, Anton O’Connell, Tom Sexton, Hayden Strong and Corbin Strong for some more great racing!
Club Otago Lunch – with Tyler Hamilton
This Friday former American professional road cyclist and Olympian Tyler Hamilton will be the guest speaker at a special luncheon in Dunedin. Hamilton was a team mate of Lance Armstrong in the Tour de France for three years and was caught up in the drug scandals, which effectively finished his career. He is now an author - The Secret Race - motivational speaker and coach Read all about the lunch opportunity here Should be an interesting session.
Okey dokey,
Take care out there and don’t forget to head along to our weekly track sessions in the evenings View the schedule here each week
