Hi everyone and great to feel a brief touch of Spring in the air today!
A huge thank you to Sharyon Ralph and her fabulous team of merry men and women who ensured that a seamless Architecture Unlimited Corporate Pursuit race day was held on Sunday. Congratulations to all our teams and their riders and coaches who took part and raced so well on the day – there was some great competition across both grades and everyone really did themselves proud. Check out all the results, photos and posts online

Spare bikes?
Do you have a small/medium frame track or road bike gathering dust? Or adult sizes? We’re regularly asked for bikes to hire to help young riders in to the sport – and have noticed a big lift in interest in road bikes. We have some lease bikes available, but can’t really loan bikes from the fleet as they’re needed for group sessions. If you have something that you’d like to donate or sell at a reasonable price , please get in touch so we can help someone fall in love with the sport. We are also currently seeking an extra small track bike for a young junior who is super-duper keen. Due to our limited supply of these super small track bikes we cannot hire them our unfortunately. Let us know at the office if you can help out.

Code of Conduct Agreements
New Code of Conduct Agreement forms are being rolled out for licensed riders. It is a written reminder and agreement of some of the points in Cycling Southland’s Code of Conduct & Integrity that all licensed members have already agreed to abide by when they license with CNZ.

We also have a Code of Conduct Agreement for Parents/Caregivers and other supporters to sign. We ask that parents/caregivers read the agreements and sign them.

Coaches will also be presented with update Code of Conduct forms to sign too.

If you have any questions regarding this please get in touch.

Timaru Tour

Finally, a few highlights to note.
Hayden Strong – go you good thing after smashing out three stage wins in the West Bend at Dairyland (his first wins since being in the USA riding with the BISSELLABGIANTS) – truly outstanding racing and everyone is super proud of what you’re achieving!

Outstanding confirmation this week that our very own Tom ‘Scud’ Scully is among four Kiwis to race in the Tour de France this year – truly stunning news and again we couldn’t be prouder to have our very first Southlander racing this year – this will mean he will have competed in Europe’s top three cycling races. Go Scud and enjoy every minute of this chance of a lifetime experience – you’ll be awesome!

Good luck to all our juniors heading to Cycling New Zealand South Island School Road Champs being held in Timaru this weekend – smash it out of the park everyone!

Huge good luck also to Corbin Strong, who leaves this Friday taking on the schools road champs first and Sophie-Leigh Bloxham who leaves Saturday for a quick trip home in readiness for the start of their Junior Worlds build up in Cambridge from next week.

Take it all in – enjoy, train hard and get ready to smash it next month in Aigle, Switzerland from 15 to 19 August. You’ll be awesome!

Take care out there and have a fabbo week ahead!
