Hi folks and trust you are all keeping warm as we race towards the shortest day of the year on Saturday – great to think the days will slowly start getting longer again after that!

Fantastic news to hear our gun sprinters, including record-setting Eddie, are firing in their build up to the Commonwealth Games View the story here The games are coming around fast – but our sprinters certainly seem to be hitting the mark too when it comes to speed – Good luck to all our Southland crew – Eddie, Matt, Pieter, Tom and Steph – we’re all behind you!

A reminder that senior racing format tonight will be handicap racing from 7-8pm so it will be short, sharp and fast. Head on down and enjoy!

SIDE Dairy Conference
From Monday to Wednesday next week we have around 200 national dairy farming representatives and business associates, and also some bods from across the ditch, in the building for the annual SIDE conference. They are holding a “mini Corporate Pursuit” event next Monday afternoon from 4-6pm here on the track. If anyone is able to lend a hand as a holder etc, we’d love to hear from you so yodel me at [email protected] – you know we’re always super appreciative!

Track useage Mon 23 – Wed 25 June
Just a reminder everyone please that the motorbike is NOT to be used during the three days of Monday 23 to Wednesday 25 June, due to a national conference being held in the venue. An agreement has been reached to allow us to continue to use the track during this time but please be respectful of the arrangements we have been able to make. Thank you in advance.

Well that is it for another busy little week down here at the track as Crowe Horwath Corporate Pursuit teams ramp up their final training sessions and secondary school NCEA classes get even busier this half of the term.

The road racing winter series is imminent with it kicking off on Saturday 5 July, so keep an eye out for registrations and the programme, which will be posted any time soon.

Keep warm and have a great week!
