Hi everyone and it is certainly a little bit encouraging to know that we’re already one third of the way through winter – and it certainly looks like it’s going point out that it’s winter for real judging by the forecast for the rest of the week!
Well it was a big weekend for our Elite sprinters during their final workout on the track at Trexlertown and what a result for Matt Archibald after taking out the Flying 200 from his team mate Simon van Velthooven in two straight rides! A totally awesome effort, as well as our sprint team, featuring Eddie, also taking the win – and a track record to boot – before they left for the final push in France before the Games. Read all about it here
Also, just to show the depth and versatility of some of our most gifted track stars, our World Masters Champ Erin Criglington donned her dancing shoes in the weekend and won the Rocking with the Stars title in a mammoth Rock ‘n Roll Club fundraiser – check out the gorgeous girl here Well done Erin – a great effort!

Crowe Horwath Corporate Pursuit & All Comers Record
It was a great little time trial last Sunday and the times posted certainly bode well for event faster times on Sunday when the event kicks off at 10am. Remember it’s only $2 entry for adults and free for children so head on down and make some noise if you’re not already lending a hand!
A reminder that if you are keen to put your name on the honours board and walk away with some cold hard cash then the 'All Comers Record' is for you. As part of the Crowe Horwath Corporate Pursuit the chance is offered for riders to put a four member team together and ride the 1000m. The record last year was set by a group of junior riders at around 1:09.
Rules are simple:
4 riders with at least one female
81 inch gear
Changes same as team sprint.
The race will occur around the lunch break on Sunday 6 July. $20 per person entry. Break the record take the dosh! Please let the office know if you intend competing with names of riders and team name.
Sprint Squad
A reminder that Sprint Squad starts on Monday night (7 July) from 7-8.30pm. We have the programme and are still finalising who will facilitate this – any expressions of interest would be eagerly welcomed thank you.

Junior Division Friday Night
It has been decided that there will be no Junior Division Friday night development racing over the next two weeks during the school holidays with many away at South Island Secondary School Champs etc. However, the track will still be open for any juniors still wishing to head on down between 6pm and 7pm this Friday and time to be confirmed next Friday. The folder will be left in the holder at the top of the tunnel on the rail inside the “D” area. Please print your name and mark CC if you wish me to take the ride off your concession card, or leave $5 in the folder and ensure this is returned under the office door at the end of the session please. Thank you to willing parents for supervising this.
