Welcome to another week everyone and a busy little week or two it is going to be as well,
We have major road events the next two weekends, track painting, an awards night and event entries coming in thick and fast to everything that is coming up! So let’s get into it …
Track Maintenance
This Saturday 31 August and Sunday 1 September we will be doing some track maintenance in preparation for the Oceania Track Championships and other upcoming events. We are still keen to hear from willing/able-bodied and painting experienced helpers to give us a hand to freshen up the track over the weekend. Please contact us if you fit the bill for this one.
Session Cancellations – As a result of the weekend of painting, all sessions on Monday 2nd September will be cancelled sorry – this includes Cyclofit, Under 15 Squad, Challenger Development and Sprint Squad. This will allow for the paint to fully cure and dry.

Road Racing
42 Riders headed out to McIvor Road on Saturday for the annual Donovan Points Race in fine but windy conditions.
With only two A graders in the mix - Louis Hodgkinson and Lachie Baird, they rode with B graded helping to keep the field in the mix with each other pulling riders back into the fold and keeping everyone honest. The ride of the day went to relative newbie Hendre Knoetze who took a sizeable lead for the win in B grade, with Pete McKenzie in second and Neil Familton settling for third.
Ray Robinson took out C grade from Reuben Boniface and Eion McKenzie, while Marshall Erwood continued his winning form in C Grade with Conrad Clark and Hunter Thompson coming in second and third.
Finn Edwards claimed the win in E Grade with Caleb Moss in second, Lachlan Kelly in third and Poppy McIvor in fourth.
Huge thank you to marshalls Emma Green, Tony Thompson, Shirlene Rollo and Michael Manson and Rachael Kelly for help with results, along with Lindsay and Crigs as always.
