Happy Tuesday everyone and it is certainly a good one when you can see sun shining out the window –it’s got to mean some more pleasant road racing conditions are coming compared to what everyone has been enduring in recent weeks – it’s also got to be kind to the early spring lambs that are already out and about around the region!
Lock up accessibility
Eureka! The lock is now secure and there is a key now safely stored in the new key safe for members to access for ERG bookings and bike storage. This key safe is located to the left of the lock up doors above the fire extinguisher. The password is available from me at the office only so please get in contact if you are a user of bike storage under the track or ERGing please. No more trips upstairs or out of hours organisation required! Yahooooo.
Saturday Racing
Thanks to Waine, Lindsay and all the willing helpers for getting through the two race event at Rimu last weekend – great results and some fab coverage on Facebook from Waine.

A reminder that this week’s race manager is Geoff van Dam and marshalls are matt Nunn, Wayne Murchland and Alan Milne. 2015 Oceania Track Champs – Adelaide
Thanks to the persistence of Jo Stephens, we have finally secured some information around the Oceas in October View details provided so far
We have clarified with BikeNZ that if riders are U19 for the 2015 year, then they’ll have to have the Race Youth International – but if they’re still in the U17/U15 bracket then UCI rules apply and a Race Youth will be sufficient.

Don’t forget that there are member items available on our website for sale - and purchase – on our website Trading Post which you can view here
Code of Conduct
There have been some recent incidents involving inappropriate conduct. As is often the case, this only applies to a small number of individuals and reflects badly on Cycling Southland as a whole. This is a reminder that we are a membership organisation with a Code of Conduct that calls for members to respect other members, event rules and each other’s property.
Righty hooo that’s enough from me the barking dog in the office this week again as the little gnome continues to reside in the back of my throat and constantly tickle me – it’s very noisy and very boring.
Take care for now and have a great week ahead – long may the sun shine!
