Wow – what a Track National Championship series that was!
Everyone involved with team Southland, from the riders and coaches, to the parents, family and supporters and our super reliable band of willing volunteers – you are all super stars and you did yourselves proud. We got so close to getting back the Points Shield finishing equal with Canterbury on 133 behind Waikato on 149.

But the shield is just part of it – the records that fell, the personal best times, the first-time competitors getting out there and giving their absolute all and, most of all, the camaraderie that means all things Southland – it was just epic to see it and be a part of it. Bring on next year – I think with our national elite riders back in the mix we could be ready to shake things up.

Congratulations to all our juniors and masters who really did mighty fine job over the past week – we’re stoked for you all. Check out any results you may have missed
