Hi everyone and welcome back to earth and home today for our Elite & U19 Track Nationals team. You all deserve a standing ovation for such an incredible four days of intense, exciting and very rewarding racing. The results across the board were nothing short of sublime and if that doesn’t fire up our juniors and masters to spark on all cylinders at the Age Group Champs next month I don’t know what will!
There were stacks of medals, championship records, including our number one sprinter Eddie Dawkins turning to the 2nd wheel in our men’s pursuit (who would have ever thought – but nice work team), loads of PBs and to top it all off Eddie and Kirstie James were capped as leading male and female riders at the event.
The coaching and support team were also superb and super efficient in allowing our riders to be prepped, ready and raring to race. A big shout ouut to each and everyone of you!

Safe travels home today Team Southland!
