Good soggy afternoon everyone and the rain and thunder out there is certainly proof that winter is well and truly upon us.
That means it is a great opportunity to utilise the track sessions when you can get down View this week

ILT Sports Awards
Huge congratulations to Karl Watson, who was awarded the Ricoh Southland coach of the year – evidently he claimed speech of the night too – good on ya mate!

Also to Erin Criglington who unanimously took out the NZME Masters Achievement of the Year yet again – just because she’s unstoppable year after year.

Fantastic effort and to all those finalists who were most suitably recognised as well – Eddie Dawkins, Emma Cumming and Ellesse Andrews, Brad Knipe and Tom Sexton. A great night was had by all, so well done and apologies for the omission yesterday champs.

King House Removal Track Omnium Race Series
We would like to welcome "King House Removals" as the new sponsor for the Annual Track Omnium race series.
There will be  racing for U13, U15, U17 and for the first time an open grade, for U19 and up. The programme will include a flying 200m, 500tt, kilos, keirins, scratch, points, tempo and elimination races.

The race dates are:

21 July
11th August
25 August
8th September
15th September
29 September
27th October
3rd November

Entry $70 for the series if paid before Monday 10 July 
$80 if after 10th and entries for the series close on Monday 17 July as names are needed to allowing for planning and paperwork.

It will be open Club Racing again tonight from 6-8pm. All welcome.

Road Racing Quiz Night
Don’t forget to get your team registered with me at the office and drop in any donations for raffle prizes for the night to the office. This is being held at the Eastern Suburbs on Thursday 22 June from 7pm. Just $20 for a team of 4 and plenty of raffles. This is fundraise to help pay for traffic management services to keep road cycling races safe.

Mid-Winter Track Carnival
Make sure you enter for two action-packed nights of racing at our Mid-Winter Track Carnival with racing for all ages on Thursday 13 and Friday 14 July at 6pm. Get more information and register here

Wet Weather Track Options
With winter well and truly upon us now, we have the optional wet weather rec rides on the track each Sunday from 2-4pm. Just sign into the folder that is in the holder at the top of the track. Payment is $6 an hour or concession card for members, other prices are on the sign-on sheet but $12 for non-members with their own bikes.

Sprint Squad
Reminder that Sprint Squad returns to one hour 7-8pm from tomorrow night, unless otherwise noted due to cancellation or track availability, for the Architecture Unlimited Corporate Pursuit season.

Training is now underway in earnest for this year’s event and all team track times, the roller racing schedule and other associated information is available online
Anyone who is able to lend a hand at the events on 7 and 23 July let me know at the office thank you.

Learn to Ride Term 3
We are now taking registrations for our Learn to Ride Term 3 block. Kids aged nine or 10 up can be part of a kids introduction to the track nine-week block starting on the first week of school term on either Wednesday or Friday from 4-5pm. For just $85, the block is nine weeks long, fully coached and includes, track hire, bike hire, a drink bottle and a certificate.
