The finals of the Lone Star Speights Roller Racing produced the fastest times of the series. Seven teams lined up for a crack at becoming the 2014 champion and along with plenty of vocal support the atmosphere at the Lonestar was again buzzing with anticipation.
The first three teams blitzed their previous weeks heat times with similar times in the 1min 46 second range further fuelling the excitement levels of the finals. SBS Bank was at the top of the leaders board with their 1.43 before the final two teams lowered it even further.
Fonterra 1 Milking It was in dominant form covering the 500m distance in a staggering 1:38 to clearly go into the ride off for the title against new comer Speedy Radcliffes who stopped the clocks at 1:42.
With a short turnaround the two top teams went back into battle with the top qualifier from the Crowe Horwath Corporate Pursuit Time Trial, Fonterra Milking It backing up their first round ride with a 1:39 to win in convincing style. To top things off for the champion team the individual men's and women's winners also came out of the quartet.
Teams now focus their efforts towards this Sunday's Crowe Horwath Corporate Pursuit starting at 10:00am.
