Tom Scully wins the 2012 Browns Sports Handicap Race40 riders took on the blustery conditions of the 2012 Invercargill to Browns Road Race.

The 40 km distance saw scratch marker Tom Scully hit the front of his bunch right from the start and within the opening 10km eliminate half of his group.  The reduced combination  of Hamish Schruers (Cant) Alex McGregor (Otago) and Brad Evans (Otago) worked solidly as a unit to move their way through the field hitting the front half way through Spring Hills.

With the change in wind direction at the top of end of Spring Hills Scully put further pressure on his companions and with Schruers rode clear to the finish.
