Fine but cool conditions greeted the senior riders for the two laps of the Wyndham circuit on Sunday.

All grades found the hills and the distance a challenge for this time in the season with only six competitors in each grade completing the course. In the A grade it was Luke Macpherson and Josh Haggerty applying the pressure early, which saw some go straight out the back. At the top of the Glenham Hill these two had a 40 second advantage on Mike White and Brendan Akeroyd, at the end Luke broke clear of Josh to win by 16 seconds, they were followed in two minutes later by Mike and Brendan.

B grade rode consistently till the hills where the pressure started to be applied by Red Burnett, Derek Tan, Gabby McKenzie, Vaughan Edie and Stephen Keast, this group eased away from the remaining competitors. At the finish it was Red who had the best legs to win from Gabby and then Vaughan.

It was a similar story in the C grade where a strong group consisting of Jamie Wilson, Erin Criglington, Sid Cumming, Bruce Jones, Marty Lohry and Shirlene Rollo were driving it over the hills and into Wyndham for the first lap. At the finish the group had broken up and it was left to Jamie and Sid, with Jamie proving to strong in a good ride taking the win from Sid followed a minute later by Marty.

Thanks again must go to all who helped out on the day especially the road marshalls, Lindsay on the STMS and Robin Criglington taking the entries.

Thanks race manager Aaron Sinclair and ever on-to-it Waine Harding for the report and results!
