ILT 2024 New Year Track Carnival 

The ILT New Year Track Carnival will take place from Friday 26 January to Saturday 27 January, with an exciting programme of racing!
Come and take part, or just come to enjoy the spectacle of competitive track cycling in classic carnival events like the wheel race, Keirin, elimination, win and out races.

Friday 26th January

Open Roll - 2.00pm - 3.00pm ($10 per rider)
Registration - From 3:30pm
Race Warm Up - 5:00pm - 5:50pm
Racing Starts - 6:00pm

Saturday 27th January

Race Warm Up - 3:00 - 3:50pm
Racing Starts - 4:00pm


Racing for junior riders will take place in U13, U15, U17 age groups, while racing for open-division riders (U19, Elite, Masters) will take place in grades - A, B, C, and Open Women Grades. 
The appropriate gearing and equipment restrictions will apply, and all riders must have a current Cycling NZ race licence. 
Please note that the organisers reserve the right to adjust the grading of riders in order to ensure fair and competitive racing - this may take place before racing starts, or during the event if required.

An open track roll session will take place from 2pm to 3pm on Friday 26th January - this will also serve as a certification session for riders who are new to riding on an indoor velodrome. Cost for this session is $10 cash payable at the registration table in the velodrome.
