School Opportunities on the SIT Zero Fees Velodrome

HAVE A GO SESSIONS

Extremely popular for all levels, Have a Go sessions introduce students to track cycling, including safety, skills and challenging students to push out of their comfort zones. Students feel exhilarated, proud and euphoric.


NCEA

Track cycling is an accredited NCEA Performance Standard. We can teach a class the skills and confidence required to perform in the final time trials. Sessions include all coaching and equipment needed. Usually run over five or six weeks, sessions can be booked at a time that suits your class.


LEARN TO RIDE

A popular introduction for individuals and often the choice of many who come through a school visit. Learn to Ride is targeted at 14 years and under and is a term-long booking for an introduction for individual students to navigate the necessary skills to ride safely on the Velodrome. Parents or schools can book in for students per term (Days and times to be confirmed term-by-term, cost $85 per student for 9-10 weeks).
 

 

Cost: Have a Go and NCEA sessions work out at approximately $100 per hour (subject to numbers) with a maximum of around 15 students on the track at once.

Requirements: Students only need their sports gear/gym shoes and water bottles – we have the bikes, helmets and coach/es.
