Otago/Southland Secondary Schools Road Cycling Championships

The 2023 Otago/Southland Secondary Schools Road Cycling Championships is taking place on Tuesday 30 May at Teretonga Park, Invercargill. Entries are OPEN - click here for more information.

Assemble at Teretonga Park 86 Sandy Point Road,  Invercargill 

NB: If a rider turns 15 in 2023 they will compete in the U17s 

Boys and Girls grades will be separate with points allocated for finishing positions. 

The Team’s trophy will be awarded to the Southland school with the most points. 

Non-attendance at briefing may result in disqualification. 

Note: Riders must compete in a minimum of two events to be eligible for medals. 

The Events 

Individual Time Trial and Road Race

The different age groups, both boys and girls, will ride appropriate distances, with 30km being the maximum distance ridden. 

Note: Drop bars only - no TT/aerobars allowed in any of the events, as per New Zealand Schools Cycling Association regulations. The full regulations can be found here.
