4:00pm - 6:00pm   I AM Kids Session

A session for kids to ride around the bottom of the veledrome on the flat, in a safe environment using the Cycling Southland Bicyles and Tricycles. 
Proudly supported by ILT Stadium Southland. 
 

6:00pm - 8:00pm U17 - U23 Development Programme (U17 - U23 Skilled Riders)

This session will cover Sprint, Endurance, and Skills.

This session is open to all U17 - U23 skilled riders, and will be coached by UCI accredited coach - Marc Prutton, CNZ accredited coach - Glen Thomson, and supported by one of our RSO accredited sprint coaches with years of experience in the sprint discipline - Roger Nicholas. 
Cycling Southland is proud to have this programme supported by Laura Thompson who brings World and Olympic experience in both coaching and riding. 

NB: All parents, supporters and other coaches please be seated in stands not track side please.

Tuesday - 15 July
 

12:00pm - 1:00pm   Lunch Roll (Open-intermediate/skilled)

Open track paceline with basic track skills required (having progressed through Track Start). This is an uncoached session.

4:00pm - 5:00pm   Rockets (Junior-intermediate/skilled)

Coached session for young riders who have progressed through Learn to Ride and Flyers and find themselves ready to build on the skills and fitness they need to enjoy their track riding even more.

5:00pm - 6:00pm   Junior Squad 

Coached session for young riders who have progressed through Flyers and Rockets, and are ready to step their training up a notch.
Lead Coaches: Sonya Barton and Nicola Stevens will be coaching.

6:00pm - 8:00pm   Endurance Squad

Coached session open to skilled U17, U19, Elite, and Masters riders only. The focus is on endurance events and skills, including Madison, points race, scratch race, and pursuit.
This session is also open for a continual roll. Our coaches onsite will be able to give you direction on where to join in or where to roll on the track at any given time. 
Lead Coaches: Julian Ineson and Doug Bath.

Coached session for those wanting to learn to ride the track. Register your interest by contacting the office.

5:00pm - 6:00pm   Flyers (Youth beginner/intermediate)

Coached session for riders who have progressed through the Learn to Ride programme and looking to build their skills and increase their fitness. The ideal stepping stone for anyone looking to join in club racing or other track training sessions in future.

6:00pm - 8:00pm  Mixed Session: Adult Beginners and Open Sprint Session

A mixed session run by Nick Harris which is aimed at any adults wishing to give Track Cycling a go along with Sprinters to develop their skill set. The Cycling Southland appointed Coach(es) running the session reserves the right to invite others to assist with some or all of the session when needed.  All those involved must abide by the Cycling Southland Code of Conduct. 

Please note that all other supporters/coaches are to refrain from being in the track centre.
