Trust you have sprung into the September season of lambs, daffodils and all things Spring-like as the days start to get longer and we welcome more sunshine hours.

Southland is set to stage New Zealand’s first UCI Tier One track cycling event which will carry vital world qualifying points.

A fabulous Southland day greeted riders for the Grove Bush Road Race on Saturday over 76kms, with 70 riders making the most of an excellent day out in the sun.

A good turn out and some great racing was had by all on Friday, topped off by an impressive Madison display from those who undertook the training– it was the best Madison we have seen yet, so top work girls and guys!
