Championship Programme

The draft race programme can be found here. Please note this is provisional and subject to revision after the close of entries.

Entry Criteria

These Championships are open to Centre team entries only.

The 2014 New Zealand Age Group and Omnium championship entries close no later than 5pm 18 February 2014 and no late entries shall be accepted.

All entries are to be completed on the official entry form.

Entries are binding on the Centre and the riders.

Entrants are obliged to ride in the events for which they are entered, and any resultant repecharge, semi-final or final, unless prevented by injury or illness. Withdrawn riders may be replaced by another rider entered in any event in the same category.

Each entry must have the approval of the entrant.

Riders should be seeded in all events (i.e. 1, 2, 3, etc) and Centre Champions must also be noted, (C).

A “pool” system will operate for those riders who are unable to represent their centre in the team events. Composite teams will be made up by the Commissaires’ Panel (or their delegated authority) from entries submitted by Team Managers in order to create evenly matched teams.

Reserve riders may be entered for Age Group championship bunch events only, but should have no expectation of riding. Reserves will be entered at the sole discretion of the Commissaires’ Panel and only if additional heats are not required. In the event of

scratchings, riders from the withdrawn rider’s Centre will have first rights. Centres may enter a maximum of one reserve rider per bunch event.

The entry form must have all particulars completed. Incomplete entries will be declined.

There is a maximum number of entries for team officials. Each Centre is entitled to have a Coach, a Manager and Assistant Manager, plus one handler per five riders.  This is to avoid congestion and each Centre must enter the Official’s names on the Official Entry Form for accreditation purposes.  We ask for your co-operation with this important matter please.

Please note the following entry eligibility changes:

• In the MU17 and WU17 500m time trial, all riders who have ridden under the respective qualifying times, are eligible to be selected for their Centre. This is for the time trial only and does not apply to Master’s events.

• The same applies to the Individual Pursuits, with all riders who have met the agreed qualifying times, being eligible for selection. In the event of only one or two time qualifiers, a further non qualifier can be added to make a maximum of three selections.
