National elite men's road cycling champion James Williamson has hit the road after claiming his title in Christchurch on Sunday and will line up to race at Milford tomorrow.

Cycling Southland members featured strongly in the 2012 Lake Dunstan Cycle Classic held over 96 kilometres in Central Otago on  Sunday.

James Williamson's victory in the Elite Road Race in Christchurch today completed an historic double for the Wakatipu/Central Otago club and Cycling Southland following on the heels of clubmate and triathlete Nicky Samuels' victory in the Womens race on Saturday.
