The second race in Cycling Southland’s Winter Racing Series was held on Saturday with the Donovan Points Race held on a 10 kilometre circuit from Retreat Road on the outskirts of Invercargill.

Russian speedster Daria Shmeleva, who will be part of a powerful 16-strong Russian squad at next month's UCI Juniors Track World Championships in Invercargill, set a new world record on the third day of competition at the European U23 and Junior Track Cycling Championships in Portugal today.

Many Southland business men & women will soon be casting aside their suits and ties, and donning their lycra in time for Cycling Southland's Harrex Group Corporate Pursuit challenge at the Stadium Southland Velodrome on Sunday, July 15.
