There’s a bit of a hiatus – albeit temporary with the next two weekends full again – as we regroup in the office following some very busy eventing here at the SIT Zero Fees Velodrome and some magnificent racing it produced indeed as UCI Festival of Speed and Oceanias unfolded.

All that glitters was not gold for the New Zealand cycling team, who made strong gains this week despite playing second fiddle to the Australians on the final night of the UCI Oceania Track Cycling Championships at Invercargill.

After producing the two fastest times ever in this country in qualifying, Kiwi star Eddie Dawkins takes on Australian Matthew Glaetzer in tonight’s sprint final at the UCI Oceania Track Cycling Championships at Invercargill.
