Matt and Eddie stretching their legs in ValenciaAfter a very successful National Championships and World Championships this year I was selected as a non-traveling reserve for the London Olympics. My role being the backup “lead out” rider in the Team Sprint, while also working on developing other areas of my cycling to build toward future World Championships, Commonwealth Games and ultimately the 2016 Olympics.

The break on the final stage of the Tour of Ireland today - Credit SportsfileSouthland cyclist Pieter Bulling finished on the podium for the under-23 category when the An Post Ras Tour of Ireland finished at Skerries, north of Dublin today. Bulling, part of the BikeNZ-Pure Black Racing Under-23 team, finished third overall in the under-23 class after the eighth and final stage over 139kms of lumpy terrain to Skerries.

Tom Scully on the Paris-Roubaix podiumCycling Southland's Tom Scully has claimed a podium finish in the prestigious Paris-Roubaix U23 race this morning. Scully finished in third place becoming the first New Zealander to record a top three result in the event's 46 year history.
