Scott Creighton tackles a climb - Photo by SportsfileInvercargill cyclist Pieter Bulling moved into contention for the Under-23 podium after a strong performance in stage six of the An Post Ras Tour of Ireland. Bulling and fellow BikeNZ-Pure Black Racing Under-23 teammate Taylor Gunman finished in a select lead group after the gruelling 134km stage from Bunrana to the west coast fishing port of Killybegs, which featured with several category one and two climbs.

The Westpac Chopper Appeal bunch makes it safely to InvercargillA peleton rolled into Invercargill yesterday at the end of a gruelling one-day $10,000 fundraising cycle ride. The group rode from Frankton to Invercargill to raise funds for the Lakes District Air Rescue Trust, the local recipient of the nationwide Westpac Chopper Appeal.

One of the big climbs on Tour of Ireland - Photo by SportsfileThe big climbs caught out the young New Zealand cycling team on stage five of the An Post Ras Tour of Ireland today. Ironically the best of the BikeNZ-Pure Black Racing Under-23 team was the sprint specialist Piet Bulling who managed his way over the climbs to finish in the second bunch.
