Licensing and Membership
A reminder that 2016 Cycling NZ licensing and Cycling Southland memberships are now ready to renew. You can do both online at CNZ click on long in top right and if you require a new password just contact Membership@cyclingnewzealand.nz and they will get you set up. If you just want a local club membership you can do this through me at the office. Just putting it out there that I would prefer to do a little national licenses as possible please as it is now quite a detailed and in-depth process as I have to fill out an extensive spreadsheet to forward to Cycling NZ to do this now. Your help to do your own is very much appreciated and they forward us our centre/club membership component.

There have been some great write ups over the break with the Elite Club Road Nationals, well done to our Southlanders on their successes and then the announcement of the UCI World Cup national team who are in Hong Kong from this week. Congrats and huge good luck to Matt Archibald, Jeremy Presbury, Natasha Hansen and Tom Sexton who has his first big foray into the international World Cup scene. Accordingly, a great write up in the paper.

Good luck also to our international road team, including our own Nick Kergozou and Pieter Bulling, who are racing in major road events both here and abroad this month. A big good luck to you guys too – go fast and leave your mark!

Finally well done to all those who travelled to Christchurch to support the Denton Park Carnival last week – lots of great racing and some mighty fine results there too. Good work!

So that is it from me for the week – we’ll ease into the year with this little edition and take it from there.
Meanwhile, get registering for all the great events we have coming up – see you back on the road and track soon.
