Greetings and what an epic couple of weeks it’s been but the result is proof of the massive amount of personal and club effort that has gone in over recent months as Southland is now the proud holder of the National Points Shield for seven years!! 
Southland cycling may have ventured north for the first time but it did nothing to diminish their success at the BikeNZ Track Cycling National Championships that finished at the new Avantidrome in Cambridge today.
The world championship medallist, fresh from battle in last night’s sprints, returned to the fray in the keirin events on the third morning session at the BikeNZ Track Cycling National Championships in Cambridge today.
Young Kiwi sprint stars Sam Webster and Stephanie McKenzie defended their sprint titles in emphatic fashion on the second night of finals at the Track Cycling National Championships in Cambridge tonight.
World champion Ethan Mitchell has retained his New Zealand crown on the opening day of the Track Cycling National Championships in Cambridge today.
Three-time world championship medallist Simon van Velthooven dug deep to continue his dominance of the men’s 1000m time trial on the opening night of the New Zealand Track National Championships in Cambridge tonight.
Southland will field a strong team when the BikeNZ elite and under-19 track championships get under way in Cambridge today.

Southland dominated the team events on the final day of the national age group track championships. The locals won four of the five team titles on offer yesterday across the team sprint and team pursuit, with three more New Zealand records falling in the process.
