It was podium finishes all round for Southlanders on the first day of competition with U19 Makayla Smith, Emma Cumming and Nick Kergozou all securing golds, along with a silver for Elite sprinter Steph McKenzie.
The spectacular keirin competition produced plenty of drama on the second morning of the Avanti BikeNZ Classic at Cambridge today.
The Australians served notice that they have little regard for Commonwealth Games medals when they took it to the Kiwis on the first morning of the Avanti BikeNZ Classic at Cambridge.
