Hi folks,

Well any signs of spring or even slightly temperate conditions are still being elusive so it’s wrap up and carry on as usual.

This is an invitation to our next Connecting Coaches Workshop. As a very high percentage of the coaches enrolled in the Connecting Coaches group stated Nutrition and Hydration was an area that they would like to have some PD opportunities.

Well it’s pretty invigorating with all this sub-zero frosts overnight recently – no easing into the days slowly – you just have to get moving! 

It's official - our grand master of the track has got his New Zealand one hour record!

The sun kept shining as 2 Divisions split in 4 teams set off on their 48km journey at Waianiwa. Division one took off like rockets and maintained a fast pace throughout the whole race. Brendan Akeroyd was the most aggressive and was chased down by Geoff van Dam.

Another successful year of achievements was celebrated by members of the cycling fraternity at the Cycling Southland annual prizegiving awards last night.

New Zealand cyclist Eddie Dawkins grabbed a notable scalp when the track sprint team competed in the Grand Prix of Poland at the weekend.

The snow and sleet came big time last night and then it tried to freeze so a bit of a slippery drive in this morning. Well it’s prizegiving and AGM time looming so let’s get cracking into it all.

Well done to our crew who ventured to Christchurch late last week to take on the annual Secondary Schools South Island Road Championships.

Very exciting to now be able to announce the RICOH Legends of Cycling dinner being held on January 28 in Auckland next year that will be the highest profile gathering of world famous cycling identities ever seen in New Zealand - it will also be a celebration of all things cycling.

Hello team for another windy wet week.
Well the chilly conditions certainly didn’t take the edge off the team times during the 10^thAnniversary Corporate Pursuit on Sunday – what an absolute stunner of a competition it was too. 

A new schedule has been released for weekly track sessions, which will begin from Monday 6 July.

Inviting riders to form a team and take up  opportunity for teams to try and break the 'All Comers Record' at the Cycling Southland Corporate Pursuit this Sunday.

Hope you had your gloves on this morning but beautiful sunshine follows!

Well the 10^th Anniversary Corporate Pursuit kicked into top gear with the Time Trials on Friday night and some blistering times there were too.

Cycling New Zealand extends an invitation to Cycling Centres and individuals to attend the Oceania Track Championships from the 8^th– 11^th October 2015 in Invercargill, New Zealand.

This Sunday, 24 Southland businesses take to the boards of the SIT Zero Fees Velodrome to contest the 10^th anniversary Cycling Southland Corporate Pursuit. This unique event has attracted a number of former competitors and some new contenders for the 2015 event.
