This is the big memorial racing weekend of the year. Otago’s premiere one day race the RICOH Kelvin Hastie Memorial is now to be combined with the new GMC Coaching Ralston Memorial race - creating a very special weekend of memorial racing on 27 and 28 October.

The Long Standing 120km Kelvin Hastie Memorial, has always been a big drawcard for local and out of town riders, and now with the additional 70km Sunday race, it should be a busy and highly competitive weekend.

Many riders will be using this ‘back to back’ racing as final race preparation before the Tour of Southland, including Gordon McCauley, who will be bringing a strong team - and has signalled his intention to win both races.

RICOH has again come up with an amazing sponsorship package, including $1500 of prize money for the Saturday, and the three local bike shops (Avanti, Bike Barn, Cycleworld) are donating spot prizes! And on Sunday - GMC Coaching is tipping in $500 for the senior race and another $100 for the juniors. Awesome.

Entries are available online from now and you can talk with Brendon Hastie on 021 207 6614 if you need to have a chat about anything.
