Good afternoon members,

Further to our membership meeting last Tuesday evening the executive are pleased to advise that today Walter Lettink started working for Cycling Southland as Acting General Manager, 24 hours a week Monday to Thursday. Walter is on a six-month, fixed contract and will be focusing on various areas in the club, mainly sponsorship.

I will continue to be in the office on a regular basis.

Then on 28 April Nick Longford will commence as Cycling Development Officer, subject to obtaining a visa by then.

Nick will be responsible for facilitating and development of the entire membership which includes coach development, volunteer and official development as well as developing programmes that enhance rider participation.

I would like to thank Melissa and Bruce for their hard work while the club has been short staffed.

At the membership meeting it was re-iterated that the main focus of the club is on membership, supported by events.

This is highlighted in our current six year strategic plan - To view this click here
