The Riverton Trotting Club are intending to hold a bike race, (or two heats depending on entries) over a lap of the all weather track at their annual race meeting at Ascot Park Raceway in Invercargill on Sunday 5 November. The race(s) would be entertainment between races on the Club's Cup Day race meeting and would be over a lap of the track with the start from behind the ITM EH Ball Mobile Barrier.

The race is open to all ages and is for MTB and road cyclists - just meet at teh North Stand by 2pm and make sure you get your entry into Lindsay Beer at the details below - there is no entry fee.

It is proposed to have a prize of between $200 to $500 depending on entries and the club invites competitors to enjoy some hospitality after the bike races conclude.

The times of the race(s) will be from mid to late afternoon and can only be confirmed after the harness race programme is confirmed on race week.

We would like to attract around 30 riders to ensure a good spectacle for our spectators so from that perspective pre-entries or indications of interest would be appreciated.

Enquiries and entries can be made via Lindsay Beer, Promotions Officer, Southern Harness Racing, 021 351 499 or [email protected]
