Wednesday has come and gone at the World Masters Track Championships in Manchesters with some more medals for team NZ.
In action today we Colin Claxton and Bill Allen in the sprints and Erin Criglington, Neil Familton and Grant Tyrell in their respective team sprints.
Colin qualified 2nd in his flying 200 and went unbeaten in all his races until he got to the gold medal rides. He ended up 2nd behind the fast Frenchman Gerard Louis Robert.
Bill Allen, in the 75+ men's sprint, ended up 4th.
In the men's team sprint- 55-64yrs, Grant and Neil teamed up with Vladimir Makeev from Russia to win the bronze medal.
For the 3rd year, Erin teamed up with Carolien van Herrikhuyzen from the Nederlands for the open women's team sprint. After qualifying 4th they managed to go quicker in the final, however it was not quick enough to upset the Aussie combo of Jessica Laws and Rebecca Wheadon who took out the bronze medal behind to GB teams.
Tomorrow Neil and Grant have found someone friends and will be riding the team pursuit and Erin will be riding the points race.
