Josh Haggerty - WoodlandsFine sunny weather with light crosswinds made for fast racing in A, B, C and D grades on the 33.7 km Woodlands circuit.

Glen Ferguson (1hr 07min 20 sec) produced powerful sprint to win D grade from the hard working Mary Marshall. Fergus Canny came in third while Glen's son Ronan showed determination and courage to place fourth and keep out the challenge by new-comer Andrew Ralph - fifth.

Allan Milne (1hr 44min 15sec) out-classed a strong C grade field with a powerful finish beating off challenges from Grant Colbran and Andrew Burns. Peter Leighton attacked several times in the final few kilometres only to be shut down by the chasing group led by Shirlene Rollo.

Geoff Van Dam - WoodlandsB grade produced a very close bunch sprint with Geoff Van Dam (1hr 41min 10sec) edging out Dave Beadle and Stu MacDonald. Alan Strong had a very aggressive day in the saddle riding off the front with several attacks. Riders and officials were once again impressed by Anton O’Connell who is proving to be one of the rising young stars in Southland cycling.

Josh Haggerty (1hr 37min 04sec) continues to produce good form leading up to this week's national age group track champs and was a clear winner in A grade leading Robert Huisman and Cam Karwowski in.
