Hi everyone,
Firstly a message from our President, Lindsay Jordan
Dale MacDonald’s Resignation:
It is with much regret that I have received the resignation of Dale who will be leaving us on Friday March 21st to shift to Nelson with Stu. Dale has been a valued member of the Cycling Southland staff since June 2011. In her role as Coaching Co-ordinator Dale has been instrumental in providing our members across the board with access to first-rate coaching resources. She has also been involved in the club’s many cycling programmes both on the track and road, including coaching, organising and setting up specific programmes. Behind the scenes Dale has been a dedicated, passionate and outgoing staff member who has made an enormous contribution to Cycling Southland in many areas including running of events, managing teams and organising social activities.
In all of her dealings Dale has always been professional, open and approachable. She has always had the best interests of cyclists at heart and our members will miss her helpfulness and also her clear and easy to understand communication style.
I am sure you will all join me in wishing Dale and Stu all the very best in the future.
New General Manager start date:
Phil Culling takes up his role as our General Manger on March 3. It seems a long time ago when Phil was announced as our new GM but he had to give 3 months’ notice to his current employer Environment Southland. In the meantime Phil had been attending some Cycling Southland meetings and has made himself available as required.

We were advised last week that due to an administrative error, a small number of membership cards have been matched to incorrect addresses – please dispose of the faulty card when it arrives – we know these are around because we’ve received two in the office and heard of others. BikeNZ have identified the cards affected and rectified the mistake. Your correct card will arrive as soon as humanly possible.
