Gidday out there and we do hope you are managing to keep war, with the severe frosts we been having the past couple of days. Definitely invigorating to say the least!
Architecture Unlimited Corporate Pursuit
Any cool conditions certainly haven’t affected the numbers making the most of the Velodrome over recent weeks and the session numbers are continuing to grow as we head into the lead up of our Architecture Unlimited Corporate Pursuit, which officially kicks off tomorrow night at the team debriefing, at 7pm.
Remember if you are keen to lend a hand coaching a team, please let me know at the office,
Also we have some spare spots in the Corporate Pursuit and a few riders sticking up their hands to ride in a team, so we can possibly put together a composite team if we get a couple more (including one lady please).
If you can lend a hand at the Time Trial (July 7) and/or Race Day (July 23) please let me know as well.
Tunnel Alarm
It has been pointed out to us that an internal alarm is regularly being set off by riders coming in and out of the tunnel door. This is due to the wrong door pad being pressed when exiting the building.
Please note that the bottom press-pad inside the tunnel door is the one you touch to automatically open the door to leave. The top pad is the alarm! This starts an alarm in a ground floor meeting room and the alarm has to be manually disarmed by Stadium staff. So please be careful which pad you press.
Road race raffle donations
The road racing fundraising committee are running raffles at their Quiz fundraiser being held at Eastern Suburbs on Thursday 22 June. If anyone is keen to donate a prize for raffling on this night, please drop these off to the office – all donations gratefully received thank you. Remember you can still enter a team of four for just $20 with me at the office – a fun night guaranteed!
Tour of Taranaki
Huge congrats to Wayne Miller, Neil Sutherland and Alistair Burnett on some mighty fine results at the Tour of Taranaki over the weekend. Wayne won C Grade and got second in the Sprint Ace, Red got third in the Sprint Ace and Neil got third in C Grade overall. Awesome effort by the Southland lads!
Club Roll & Sprint Squad
Tonight is an open club roll from 6-8pm so head on down to keep warm. From next Wednesday the 7-9pm Sprint Squad slot will be reduced to just one hour 7-8pm until Corporate Pursuit is over.
Okay keep warm and then keep dry once the skies open from tomorrow.
Keep those wheels spinning
