Hi team,
Welcome to the first week of the school holidays and for many a well-deserved Easter break, coupled with Southland Anniversary Day along with Anzac Day being thrown in the mix as well.

Accordingly this building, along with the Stadium, will be shut this Friday, next Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

Our office will be closed for 10 days from this Friday 19th and we will reopen on Monday 29th.

Age Group Road Nationals
Huge good luck to everyone heading to Timaru from 26th to 28th April for the road nationals – fantastic to see such a large Southland representation in the entries!

If you still need to organise a road jersey you only have until Thursday this week to see me – so get organised now please. If you have a red team shirt take it along too so you are easily recognised please.

Tour of New Zealand
Huge congratulations to our Southland riders who cycled more than 600kms last week for the Tour of New Zealand and in particular to our three juniors Mitchel Fitzsimons (who finished 3rd overall), Jake Willis – 9th and Morgan Borrie who finished a very respectable 18th. Together the trio raised more than $3500 for Child Cancer and they finished 2nd overall in the school teams section.
Not to be outdone, we also had Neil Sutherland 11th, Alistair Burnett 14th, Steve Rhodes 25th, Reuben Boniface 37th and Mitchel’s Dad Aaron 39th. Top effort to you all and a great cause.

So that’s it from me for a couple of weeks. Enjoy the holidays if you are having a break and we look forward to seeing everyone back at the Velodrome in Term 2.
