Southland Track Champs
Well it is the final big event of the year – the Southland Track Champs are launching on Friday and our guests again this year are the New Zealand Para-cycling team, including our very own Hannah Pascoe. We have more than 140 entries from all over the country so it is going to be a fantastic event.
You can view the rider entries and draft programme here
Friday night is free to spectators and Under 13s kick off at 4.30pm with the rest of the action from 6p. The full Saturday and Sunday programmes, starting from 10am each day, are $5 for adults and free for kids.
If anyone is still keen to lend a hand volunteering – let me know.
If anyone can lend a set of rollers for an out-of-towner U17 lad during the champs, also please let me know. Much appreciated as always.
Good luck to all the competitors and thank you in advance to our merry band of willing helpers!

Missing Please Return
One set of blue Junior Division rollers are missing, can you please return or advise of their whereabouts? We’d also like to hear from anyone who can shed some light on how two sets of rollers were damaged and then placed down the tunnel?
Congratulations
Another outstanding result for our track and road star Corbin Strong who, having just progressed into the Under 19 ranks stood on the podium alongside big-hitting Elites Hamish Bond and Dylan Kennett at the BDO Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge elite men’s race last Saturday Read more here Absolutely fantastic Corbin.
Good luck this weekend everyone – see you at the track!
