Hi everyone and hope you’re enjoying the start of a short week and had a good long weekend – courtesy of “Her Royal Majesty.”

Well, Friday night’s ILT Sports Awards certainly proved to be another great night for cycling with a power of nominations across all categories and some great outcomes for Erin Criglington (Masters Achievement Award), Ross Machejefski (Coach of the Year) and Phillipa Gray and Laura Fairweather taking out the Team of the Year. The evening was hosted in fine style by our very own raconteur extraordinaire Nick Jeffrey and Breakers legend Dillon Boucher providing some inspirational messages as the guest speaker.

Congrats to all those who were nominated and fantastic well done to those deserving winners!  Read_about_the_night

Sprinters in Spain
Goodness me our sprinters, including our very own “wee lads” Matt, Eddie and Tom are causing some excitement in Spain right now – very, very exciting indeed. If you haven’t caught up on the past couple of days read_more_here

Great stuff guys – keep up the hot results!

No sessions this Friday
Due to the second last Sharks game at the Velodrome this Friday there will be no track sessions after 10am. This will include Lunch Roll, Wheelers and Flyers.

Coaches Corner
Dale has put together another wealth of information in her May-June Coaches Corner so park up and enjoy the reading by_clicking_here

Junior Division Meeting
The next Junior Division meeting will be held on Wednesday 12 June, at 7pm, in the Champions Lounge. The agenda will include the budget for coming year and Yunca Junior Tour Tour 2014 fundraising. All welcome, so come along and have your say in how we allocate funds for the coming year.

BOW/WOW Wednesday Nights
From Wednesday 26 June, the BOW/WOW sessions on Wednesday nights will combine to just 1 hour from 7-8pm to allow for additional team training time on the track for the WHK Corporate Pursuit again this year. This will continue until the event is over on Sunday 11 August.

Senior Madison Training
First night of Cycling Southland Senior Madison Training tonight at 7pm. Come down and learn the ropes - all U19 and above riders are welcome (and encouraged!) to come along. Tonight will focus on the very basics - it won't even be scary! Let Dale know if you're coming along prior to the session tonight [email protected] Get into it!

Well – believe it or not – that’s pretty much it for this short week because Dale’s covered an awful lot more in her Coaches Corner so don’t forget to read it all!

Otherwise, we’ll leave you to enjoy the next few days and keep up with your winter training.

Take care out there
