The world champion New Zealand men's team sprint struck back to claim the bronze medal on the second day of the opening UCI Track World Cup in Mexico.

Howdy doody folks and with just five days to go until Tour time it is the least we can say all but frenetic with planning and final preparation. Needless to say in true Tour spirit, the long range forecast is not looking tropical – watch this space and make sure you get out and cheer the riders on if they are coming past at any time during the week.

Well it pretty much hasn’t stopped with events – both here and away – and some truly outstanding results of late. Leading out of the blocks is our World Champion Master rainbow jersey holder Erin Criglington who not only defended her IP world title, but gathered up the points race rainbow jersey well. Truly outstanding!!

Southland Under 19s Tom Sexton and Makayla Smith closed out the Oceanias in style wach with a  silver and bronze in their respective men's points and women's points races.

Southland sprinter Eddie Dawkins claimed the silver medal in the sprint on the third night of finals at the Oceania Track Cycling championships in Adelaide today.

World defending individual pursuit rainbow jersey holder Erin Criglington has doubled her catch at the UCI Worlds Masters Champs in Manchester over the weekend bagging the rainbow jersey for the points race.

Under 19s Bradly Knipe and Emma Cumming were the stars to feature on day two of Southlands quest for success at the Oceania Track Championships in Adelaide winning bronze in the 1000 time trial and kierin final respectively, as the Australians fought back from the Kiwi success on day one.
