Erin Criglington - World ChampionCycling Southland’s Erin Criglington has been a dominant force in Masters track cycling over recent years, winning multiple national titles on an annual basis. She can now add a World Championship gold and a coveted rainbow jersey to her glittering career after winning the 40-44 Individual Pursuit at the World Masters Track in Manchester this morning.

Close racing and sprint finishes marked the opening day of the 30th anniversary Yunca Junior Tour of Southland for 2013 at Teretonga today. The day featured the opening Vital Signs-sponsored Individual Time Trial followed by an afternoon kermesse sponsored by Zookeepers Cafe at Teretonga Raceway over eight different age categories.

A chilly, drizzly day greeted riders at Te Tipua for the 4th race in the Winter Points Series, around the “Beast of the East” circuit.  We were very grateful to Jos Miller for opening up the school for us to use the toilets and have a dry place to change and sign on – Thank you Jos!!
