She can now add a World Championship gold and a coveted rainbow jersey to her glittering career after winning the 40-44 Individual Pursuit at the World Masters Track in Manchester this morning.

Hi everyone, it’s amazing to think the 30^th Anniversary 2013 Yunca Junior Tour has been and gone already – and what a ripper it was with the weather gods being so kind this year.

The World Masters Track Champs kicked off today with the time trials and day 1 brought Erin Criglington silver, with day 2 proving equally successful.

This is the big memorial racing weekend of the year. Otago’s premiere one day race the RICOH Kelvin Hastie Memorial is now to be combined with the new GMC Coaching Ralston Memorial race - creating a very special weekend of memorial racing on 27 and 28 October.

It may have taken to the final few hundred metres of this year’s Yunca Junior Tour of Southland, but Cycling Southland's Josh Haggerty ended his junior cycling career in the best possible fashion yesterday.

Another great day of racing in perfect conditions today at Te Tipua in Eastern Southland has set up a gripping finale to the 30th anniversary Yunca Junior Tour of Southland tomorrow.

Close racing and sprint finishes marked the opening day of the 30th anniversary Yunca Junior Tour of Southland for 2013 at Teretonga today. The day featured the opening Vital Signs-sponsored Individual Time Trial followed by an afternoon kermesse sponsored by Zookeepers Cafe at Teretonga Raceway over eight different age categories.

There were some impressive displays at racing this week, with the number of Division 1 Sprinters far out-numbering the Enduros and making for some fantastic racing!

Hello to you all for October!

Well it’s the eve of the 2013 Yunca Junior Tour and over 140 of the top juniors from throughout NZ and Australia are about to converge in the south and battle out titles in the individual age group categories from under 15s to under 19s.

Congratulations to the yellow jersey winners of event four in the Baxter and Neilson Plumbers sponsored junior track racing series!

A chilly, drizzly day greeted riders at Te Tipua for the 4^th race in the Winter Points Series, around the “Beast of the East” circuit.  We were very grateful to Jos Miller for opening up the school for us to use the toilets and have a dry place to change and sign on – Thank you Jos!!

This year marked the second running of our Secondary School version of the Corporate Pursuit, in team sprint format.

While we didn’t break any records on the numbers front on Tuesday, it was awesome to welcome a couple of new riders to the fold and also a couple of top riders from outside the region / new to the region, and everyone had a fun albiet tough night of racing.

The third race in the Baxter and Neilson junior track cycling series for 2013 took place last Friday undeterred by the craft show in the centre of the velodrome.
