Hi for another week – and another month – sadly not that the spring weather has turned out for the occasion.
But it does mean it’s just a month until the Yunca Junior Tour, our ILT Junior Track Carnival and the Oceania Track Championships – it’s going to be a busy and exciting time for results and action on the road and the track. So that means it is time to get your entries in now!
Also if you are available to help us out as a volunteer for any of these events
Yunca Tour 2-4 October
ILT Carnival 5-7 October
Oceania Track Champs 8-11 October
Also the SBS Tour of Southland 1-7 November
We would love to hear from you so let me know [email protected] and I pop your name down for your available times and dates.
Race Sponsorship Thank You
We’re delighted to announce that we’ve secured a number of business sponsorships for our weekly racing so best put credit where it’s due in a particularly difficult time for securing financial support.
George Wilson & Sons/Southland Farm Machinery who are very kindly coming back on board jointly again this year to sponsor the Gore to Waikiwi Classic, which is being held on 26 September. This is always a very appreciated annual sponsorship from them for this race.
Also coming on board so far with our Senior Road Racing Programme sponsorships recently are Cruickshank Pryde (Grove Bush-Spring Hills 19 September), Sievwright Auto (Beast of the Easter 19 September) and Versatile Homes & Buildings (Makarewa-Winton-Oporo 31 October) – huge thank you to you all.
Last weekend was the Dacre-Hedgehope Handicap and, while it initially looked like fierce weather was brewing, the sun ended up shining for another great day of racing. Read the report and check out lots of pics here
This Saturday is a double-header with the Tisbury Time Trial and Teams Race. The Time Trial kicks off from Tisbury School at 10am and the Teams Race is at 1pm. Register online here
