Happy Tuesday everyone and it is great to see the sun showing itself, the daffodils appearing in gardens and lambs springing around the paddocks – definitely good for the soul!

Well the 2013 Crowe Howarth Corporate Pursuit is shaping up to be nothing short of spectacular this Sunday if last weekend’s Time Trial results are anything to go by – check out results & lap splits here This Sunday (11 August) the teams will be squaring off according to their Division 1 and 2 Time Trial rankings with the first teams away from 9.30am. On top of some guaranteed action from our business house teams there will be the All Comers Record Rides from a few teams already known about, starting from 1pm – these are guaranteed to be pretty darned fast from some of the names coming forward so far.

All the 30 teams involved have put in a huge amount of work on the boards over the past few weeks – so get on down and support them and cheer them on this Sunday – don’t forget to get your glad rags on in your favourite team theme and make as much noise as you can – it’s a requirement!

Huge good luck to all those competing and many thanks to all those lending a hand to make sure it runs smoothly. See you Sunday!

Cyclists are encouraged to register their intention now for this exciting programme. The programme aims to develop cyclists aged 17-22, both on the bike and in the classroom. So get those registrations of interest in now and find out more here

Saturday Junior Pedalling Pathways
Well it’s been a bit of a “Claytons” introduction for the latest Pedalling Pathways series and unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we’re going to have to defer these sessions until Dale returns to the Cycling Southland fold. We’re sorry about the mucking around but we will certainly inform you when it is going to kick off with gusto hopefully nearer the end of the month/early next month.

Possible Billet Required
A former rower from Singapore, who  is now trying his hand in track cycling is keen to try and attend the Oceanias and/or Tier 1 Festival of Speed in November. If anyone could potentially lend a hand – or more importantly a bed - please let me know office@cyclingsouth.org.nz so we can co-ordinate liaising with him directly.

Junior National Points Series read all about the event on the 24 & 25 August, hosted by Cycling Timaru.

So that is certainly another action-packed instalment again this week – have fun and see you on Sunday at the track!
