The Police 5-Os take top spot at the Harrex Group Corporate Pusuit Grading Time Trial24/07/2011 - Cycling Southland’s Harrex Group-sponsored Corporate Pursuit kicked off today at the ILT Velodrome with the annual Grading Time Trial. A capacity field of 34 four-person teams battled the clock and chilly temperatures to confirm seeding for next Sunday’s Finals Day.

Last year’s beaten finalists the Police Five-Os took the top seeding with a 1’17.461 to earn the favourites tag with Fonterra’s Milking It nipping at their heels just 0.9 second behind in second place.

They along with the next 14 teams go through to battle it out in Division 1 next weekend including Calder Stewart, Southland District Council, Southroads, BNZ, Preston Russell 1, HW Richardson, SBS, Jackson Plumbing, Waihopia Health Services, WHK/Janet Copeland Law, NZ Police 2, EIS, Harcourts and Cunningham Builders/Signature Homes.

The remaining 18 will fight it out in what promises to be a close battle in Division 2. The first eight Div 2 teams are separated by less than two seconds.

The finals of the Harrex Group Corporate Pursuit will be held on Sunday at the ILT Velodrome from 9.30am. Entry is just $2 for adults with children free.
